The first Sonoma Aperitif labels are rolling off the printer. Despite the fact that this product is based on a 700-year-old European aperitif tradition, the federal government in its infinite wisdom is not allowing me to call this product an aperitif because it is infused with fruit. (The federal definition of an aperitif only allows herbs and spices.) So I had to make up a name on the spur of the moment. The name is "Qu'est-ce que c'est" (pronounced "kes-kuh-say"). It means "What Is It?" in French.
